Styptic pencils are used to quickly seal small cuts and nicks, especially those caused during wet shaving. The aluminium sulphate ingredient works to contract the tissue around the cut and seals the injured blood vessels, instantly stopping any bleeding.
You can apply Safe and Sound Health’s Styptic Pencil directly to small cuts to stop bleeding instantly. Styptic pencils are commonly used to treat and stop bleeding from shaving cuts, but they are also useful for calming skin irritation after an insect bite or sting.
Before treating any open wound, ensure you have thoroughly washed your hands with soap and water, or antibacterial hand gel

An absolute must for those who use a manual razor, styptic is (according to Wiki) a kind of antihemorrhagic agent that works by contracting tissue to seal injured blood vessels. In this form, as a pencil, it’s great for stopping just about any small cut, whether that’s one on your face or pretty much anywhere else.
Dave
Having changed from mainstream razors to double edged safety razors this is an indispensable purchase. Great for those little nicks, doesn’t leave a white mark when dry and stops the bleed almost instantly.
Lance

I bought these styptic pencils for my husband who is on blood thinners. They are a must for him if he nicks himself shaving. We could not find them anywhere but thanks to Super Drug on line we had them in a couple of days

Stings when applied but only for a second then no pain and no bleeding. Much better than having your face covered in bits of tissue/toilet paper.
Susie
I was instructed by my husband to order 5 of these. He says they are the best thing that stops bleeding when he cuts himself shaving.

Safe and Sound Health Triangular Bandage
Available from most pharmacists
Our triangular bandage keeps the shoulder and arm immobilised by supporting the arm in a raised position, preventing either the elbow, wrist or shoulder from moving. This limited motion helps to reduce pressure on the injury so it can heal.
Triangular bandages are multifunctional and essential in every first aid kit. They can be fully unrolled and used as a classic sling in emergencies to keep the arm still and prevent the injury from getting worse. Or triangular bandaged can be folded and used to compress a wound and stop it from bleeding.
Our triangular bandages can be washed and reused if using for long-term support of arm, shoulder or wrist injuries and are suitable to use on both adults and children.
